Inspired by Samurai films, with minimalist style poster design

A series of editorial posters exploring the intersection of story, typography, and image. Each piece captures a fleeting narrative, personal, poetic, or spatial, through bold type, minimal layouts, and emotionally resonant visuals.
Inspired by contemporary editorial design and Swiss principles of clarity and structure, the project frames each composition as a dialogue between text and image, emphasizing mood, hierarchy, and spatial tension. The work positions graphic design as both a storytelling tool and a visual experience.

Visual Identity Direction
The visual identity for Crimson Ronin sets the tone of the fictional world through typography, color, and a focused cinematic aesthetic. The goal was to create a system that feels disciplined, atmospheric, and rooted in the themes of the imagined narrative.

Typeface
Montserrat Bold and Medium were chosen for their clarity and structure. The strong geometry and sharp forms support the sense of tension and discipline within the world of Crimson Ronin. The typeface creates a consistent voice across all compositions and reinforces the visual weight of the title.
Colour
The palette centers on red, black, and muted beige. Red symbolizes the sun, conflict, and mythology. Black provides contrast and silhouette. Beige introduces warmth and texture that softens the compositions while keeping a sense of tradition. Together, these colors create a visual mood that feels both modern and rooted in cultural references.
